Here's what I want to achieve writing-wise between now and 31st December

A lot of authors have been posting their writing goals for this year. I think it’s a good idea to make some sort of motivating declaration like this so I shall join in. Here’s what I want to achieve between now and 31st December.
Finish Haircuts, Hens and Homicide, my cozy mystery set in France, and at least make a start on the next book in the series – Perms, Pigeons and Poison.
Finish my children’s book about two remarkable crime-solving, bonnet-wearing chickens, Hermione and Beatrice. The book has decided to set itself in the Victorian era, which I hadn’t anticipated when I started writing it! I’m rather fond of this story so I shall enjoy working on this. Thoughts on the title are currently Lady Deteggtives, or The Victorihens.
Finish my two Christmas novellas. I started work on Fa-La-La-Llama-La (imagine the chorus line to ‘Deck the Halls’ as you read that) way too late to finish it in time before Christmas 2015. What was intended to be quite a short story insisted on becoming a longer one. It’s pretty much there now though. The second one, Anna Partridge In A Pear Tree, is definitely going to be a novella, and possibly the first in a series of short Christmas romcoms inspired by the Twelve Days of Christmas. Nothing like being ambitious!
That, I think, will be more than enough for this year!
